On Saturday the 21st of September 2019 Mabgate hosted its very first artist-led community Gala!

Showcasing and celebrating an area rich in culture and diversity asking you to reflect on the areas past, celebrate its present and plan for its future. This inspiring community driven event showcased Mabgate a home of 1000 makers, a collaboration between artists, Local business and local residents.

Mabgate Annual was created in collaboration with Leeds City Council, Come Find Us and East Street Arts and led by artist Emma Hardaker transforming the Green space in Mabgate into an interactive art event on Saturday 21st of September 2019 and tying into Heritage week.
